2022 Honda Civic Hatchback It’s fair to say that the Civic officially found a way out of the forest when Honda introduced this latest generation in 2016.

For almost a decade before, we were not satisfied with the design and quality of the Civic. But Honda got this latest 10th generation Civic and, for now, is content to polish it.

For 2022, the Honda Civic hatchback gets an updated front and rear style that includes a revised foglight housing and dark front trim accents.

Inside, there are new surface patterns that differ between trim levels and several new features on different trims (power-adjustable driver’s seat in EX trim, for example).

All Civics also get additional sound insulation – which should help quell some of the road noise complaints we are experiencing with the current model.

And all but the basic LX model get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

Honda is also expanding the availability of the optional Civic six-speed manual transmission to include the Sport Touring trim.

While car manufacturers cannot get rid of old school sticks quickly, this move is a refreshing commitment from Honda to keep the relationship between the car and the driver strong.

All this adds to the strength of the other Honda Civic hatchback 2022 which includes fast acceleration, clear handling, and the flexibility of cargo transportation.

Although it’s still worth trying in competitions – including the sporty Mazda 3 and recently redesigned, the Subaru Impreza which beats the weather and the Kia Forte which is full of value – the Honda Civic continues to set benchmarks.

In particular, the Honda Civic 2022 is the flagship vehicle in our Cheapest New Cars article.

With a pleasant driving experience, practical interior, and many versions to choose from, the Civic is a compact car that is far better than its reputation suggests.

Many technologies and safety features are available, and the basic engine and optional turbocharged engine provide good power and high fuel savings.

You can choose from continuous variable automatic transmission (CVT) or a more involved six-speed manual.

We love the Civic and have given the Sport the best 10Best award in the past, along with the more interesting Civic Si and Civic Type R models (which we review separately).

Sedans and coupes receive updates for 2019 and don’t change for 2022, but hatchbacks get style updates, new features, and reset trim levels.

The grille, headlights, front and rear bumpers, and wheels are new, while the interior trim is a little different and there is more deadly sound to calm the cabin.

Sport hatchback now comes standard with a 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and keyless entry and start button.

Even the entry-level model is far from the penalty box. Although it does not offer the most optional comfort and convenience equipment in the compact class, it has quite a good item for a small car shopper.

The interior of the sedan is at the end of the classroom, though the coupe rear seats are of no use to anyone whose height is above average.

The Civic has several cleverly designed storage areas throughout the cabin, and the sedan luggage is one of the largest in its class.

Need more cargo transportation capabilities? Then check the hatchback model. The coupe, however, is more about style than practicality.

Honda’s touch screen interface is much better thanks to the addition of the long-awaited volume knob for the audio system and hard keys for certain functions.

The Civic four-cylinder engine is full of vigor, with a turbocharged version of pricier – but more powerful – which results in our preference.

This is a great machine. In our tests, he excitedly pulled our Civic Touring test car away from the traffic lights.

While we prefer light and clear action from a six-speed manual to an optional continuously variable automatic transmission, CVT is not a bad partner at all it’s one of the best on the market.

As a true jack-of-all-trades, the Civic provides a great balance between comfort and driver involvement.

The smooth ride, responsive steering, and athletic driving dynamics make it fun for pilots.

Bad and not hard, the quality of the Civic drive is right. Steering fast, good weight, and surprisingly feels makes driving the Civic much more fun to drive.

Those who are looking for a more sporty vibe should consider the Sport version, which has a faster steering feature.

Despite having a sturdy brake pedal with good taste, the brakes do not have the strong stopping ability of competitors.

Honda proves that power and fuel efficiency do not have to be mutually exclusive.

The two four-cylinder Civic sips fuel economically as if it were brandy fifty dollars per snifter, but, interestingly, the more powerful turbocharged engine was managing to restore fuel economy which was slightly better than the 2.0-liter base found at Low-level Civic sedans and coups.
